Dear Ladies and Gentlemen….and Kids

Most of you know the Old Timers Day Game is June 12th. It is only the second one ever that we are having. The first was a huge success in 2009. It’s a great day for all the families involved. If you’re a qualified old timer and graduated little league some time ago, and want to play a reunion game, please register on line (NOW) so we can get the correct number of jerseys and hats for game day. It will be a similar set up as opening day with the bouncy house and dunk tank in full operation and one new surprise…….. A Brownie Booth!  Yes, not just oooohy- gooooy delicious brownies, but brownies cooked on a solar cooking device. Yes….a SOLAR powered cooking device! Woodstock Little League is bringing you a presentation that you will never forget! As members of our community, we happen to have the leaders in solar cooking devices

living right here among us, who donate them to third world nations. In remote areas of the world, babies tied to mother’s hips are often badly burned from cooking around open fires.  There are countless deaths suffered from burns where the doctor is literally days away. In other areas it takes up to 4 hours to collect wood for fires just to cook one meal. Braving the bad elements of survival while looking  for wood. It’s a fascinating story that I don’t do justice. I think you all would enjoy the education , not to mention the brownies! I hope you all stop by and see what your missing. You could actually have a portable stove of your own at your house for approximately $25.00! How green is that? It’s another incredible opportunity for Woodstock Little League to work with another member of our community. I am not sure which line will be longer….. Brownies……or…………Apple Pie!

Please note the apple pie contest winner will receive a vacation valued up to $1000.00 along with other prizes for 2nd and 3rd honorable mention.  As the pies get mathematically eliminated by the judges, they will be served free to the guests!  Pre-Register at Diane’s Kitchen Supply Store inside of Woodstock Hardware or JaBelli’s Bakery next to Loris and be entered into a drawing to win a great prize as well.  Walk up Pie submissions on the day of the game will not be eligible for the special drawing.  Complete rules will be updated on our website, please check back.  http://www.woodstockbaseball.info  Have I mentioned book signings?  We are going to have two incredible authors who wrote famous Yankee Books at our field, signing copies, answering questions, and being part of Woodstock Little League! Come and enjoy the day…………..It is going to be INCREDIBLE!  And…..I promise it will be sunny too!

Sincerely
Kevin Christofora
